Welcome to Ormoc
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Ormoc is a booming coastal port city that serves as western Leyte's economic, cultural, commercial, and transportation center. The city is rich with natural resources, marine biodiversity, and natural tourist attractions due to its geography, intensive agriculture area, and coastal setting. After Tacloban, the provincial capital, Ormoc is the second-most populous city in Leyte, and it is divided into 110 barangays. These are broken down into 31 urban barangays, 10 urban coastal, 63 rural, and 6 rural coastal barangays. The city is bounded to the west by Ormoc Bay, and the north and south by rolling valley plains with several rivers and streams intersecting them. Its role as a gateway hub is due to both its location and thriving seaport.
